Vivo V50 5G is coming to India on February 17: Cameras & Design Revealed

Recently, we provided exclusive insights regarding the Vivo V50 5G’s launch in India. It was noted that Vivo will be introducing only the standard model this time, rather than a series. Vivo has now officially announced the launch date for the upcoming V-Series device in India. The company revealed on X that the Vivo V50 5G will be available in India on February 17th at 12 PM IST. It will be sold through the e-commerce platform Flipkart. This new model, which follows the Vivo V40 Series, features a ZEISS-tuned camera, catering to photography enthusiasts.

Vivo V50 5G: Details Known So Far

Vivo has officially announced that the V50 5G smartphone will be available in three stunning colors: Rose Red, Starry Night, and Titanium Grey. The device will feature a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of three 50MP lenses, including a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto portrait sensor. Additionally, the front of the smartphone will house a 50MP selfie camera equipped with autofocus capabilities. It will operate on Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15, incorporating AI functionalities for image editing, audio transcription, and real-time translation during calls.

The device is anticipated to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by a maximum of 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and storage options reaching up to 512GB. It will be equipped with a substantial 6000mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging. Additionally, the smartphone will boast an IP68 and IP69 rating for enhanced durability, complemented by the new Diamond Shield protection from Schott. On the display front, it will showcase a 6.7-inch micro quad-curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The overall design will be sleek, measuring just 7.39mm in thickness.

Reports claim Vivo V50 5G will be priced between Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 in India. The microsite has already gone live which confirms that the device will retail via Flipkart.
