Sony Bravia 2 II Features

Screen Sizes

Sony Bravia 2 II 4K

First and foremost, the Bravia 2 II is available in five screen sizes: 43-inch (108 cm), 50-inch (126 cm), 55-inch (139 cm), 65-inch (164 cm), and 75-inch (189 cm). Whether you’re looking for a television that fits in a tight living space or one that resides in a large cabinet and entertains tens of people at once, there’s a screen size for everyone in the Bravia 2 II lineup.

In addition, the slim and narrow bezels result in a minimalist design that blends into and elevates any contemporary living space. Even otherwise, the television has a slim side profile, which doesn’t occupy much space.

Picture Quality

Under its hood, the Sony Bravia 2 II features the X1 4K Picture Processor. Along with 4K-X-Reality Pro and Motionflow XR features, the television upscales content close to true 4K resolution, reduces noise, and adds frames between the original ones to make the action look smoother.

Then there’s Sony Live Color Technology, which enhances the brightness and richness of colors on the screen, making them more vibrant and lifelike. While it might make the screen too bright for a poorly-lit room, it helps maintain visibility and immersiveness in larger, well-lit environments like living rooms.

Audio Quality

Complementing the screen and the visual features are the 20W downward-firing open baffle speakers. Unlike traditional speakers, open baffle speakers don’t have a rear enclosure, which results in a more transparent and natural sound signature. The speakers on board support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X ouput to provide a spatial audio experience.

Further, the Clear Phase technology analyzes the speaker’s frequency response, identifying and correcting any peaks or dips for a consistent sound.

On the software side, Sony’s Bravia 2 II runs on Google TV, which provides access to over 10,000 apps on the Play Store, including popular OTT apps like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc. Using the voice-enabled remote, users can summon the Google Assistant and navigate around the user interface hands-free. The television also supports Apple HomeKit and AirPlay, allowing seamless integration with Apple devices.

Besides Google TV, the device also includes Sony Pictures Core, a service that provides a selection of Sony’s latest movies. Users can stream them in HDR at up to 80 Mbps in picture quality that’s comparable to 4K UHD Blu-Ray.

Gaming Features

Sony’s smart Google TV also supports ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) via HDMI 2.1 and switches to the low-latency mode upon recognizing a connection with a gaming console. Additional gaming-related features include Auto HDR Tone Mapping, which applies the best HDR settings, and a dedicated Game Mode to minimize input lag and enhance responsiveness.
