Netflix India has officially acquired the digital streaming rights for Saiyaara, the latest romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri. The film, which released theatrically on July 18, 2025, is expected to premiere on Netflix sometime between late September and early October, following the industry-standard 4-to-8-week post-theatrical window.
This move continues Suri’s relationship with the streaming giant. His previous releases, including Ek Villain Returns (2022) and Malang (2020), also found their digital homes on Netflix India after their theatrical runs—highlighting the platform’s ongoing commitment to hosting high-profile Bollywood thrillers and romances.
While an official OTT release date for Saiyaara has yet to be confirmed, sources suggest it could align with the festive Diwali season if box office momentum remains strong.

Is Saiyaara actually Aashiqui 3?
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mohit Suri confirmed that he was initially thinking about making Aashiqui 3 with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt, which was not announced as Saiyaara. When he pitched the draft of this one, things were better between Bhatt and T-Series. After their fallout, Luv Ranjan urged Mohit Suri to develop this as a separate film, and Yashraj Films saw potential in it.
