realme is gearing up to launch its latest TWS earbuds, the realme Buds Air 6, alongside the much-anticipated realme GT Neo6, in its hometown. The launch is scheduled for May 9th, 2024, in China.
The realme Buds Air 6 brings some key improvements over its predecessor, the realme Buds Air 5. The standout feature of the Buds Air 6 is the 50dB of noise cancellation (realme calls it ANC 2.0), promising an immersive audio experience by blocking out ambient noise.
One of the key upgrades in the Buds Air 6 is the support for LHDC 5.0 (Low Latency High-Definition Audio Codec), which will enhance sound quality by a mile, especially for high-resolution audio formats. The earbuds are equipped with 12.4mm large drivers, providing powerful bass and clear highs for an enhanced listening experience.

In addition to the audio enhancements, realme has also focused on improving the overall user experience of the Buds Air 6. The earbuds feature a gaming mode with reduced latency of just 55ms. The Buds Air 6 are also IP55 rated, making them resistant to splashes and sweat.
realme says that they’ve integrated AI into the Buds Air 6 to improve call quality by reducing background noise during calls. Calling on TWS earbuds has always been a so-so experience, so I’m excited to see what AI can do to improve this.
