TL; DR
  • OPPO and Google collaborate to bring “personalized” and “secure” mobile AI to ColorOS 16 and the Find X9 Series.
  • AI Mind Space has now been integrated with Gemini to let users combine the power of both to get more personalized results.
  • OPPO claims that their features run via their own AI Private Computing Cloud with encrypted Google Cloud processing.
  • The Mind Space feature will also be rolling out to other OPPO devices via the ColorOS 16 update.

OPPO has announced a deeper partnership with Google to improve personalized and secure AI experiences on its phones. The collaboration brings Google’s Gemini AI into OPPO’s ecosystem, particularly within the new Mind Space feature, set to debut with the upcoming Find X9 Series and ColorOS 16.

At the core of this initiative is AI Mind Space, a new OPPO app designed to help users capture and organize on-screen content. With a three-finger swipe or the Snap Key, users can save text, images, or web pages into one place, where AI then categorizes and summarizes the information automatically.

And with the Gemini integration, users can act on that saved Mind Space data, like asking it to generate a custom itinerary or manage stored notes, while maintaining full permission control. This makes the feature even more helpful.

The partnership also includes Gemini Live, which offers real-time visual assistance. Users can share their camera view or screen and get interactive overlays for guidance, like for troubleshooting a device or organizing workspace items. Another integrated feature is Nano Banana which allows for precise AI image editing through simple prompts.

Privacy remains central to OPPO’s AI strategy. OPPO says that all the sensitive processing runs through the OPPO AI Private Computing Cloud, powered by Google Cloud’s confidential computing, ensuring encrypted, private data handling that’s inaccessible even to OPPO.

Buyers of the OPPO Find X9 or OPPO Find X9 Pro will receive a three-month Google AI Pro subscription, including 2 TB cloud storage and access to the latest Gemini features. The Mind Space feature will also roll out to other compatible devices via the ColorOS 16 update.
