Apple is reportedly gearing up for a massive design overhaul with the ‘Apple Watch X’. Touted to arrive later this year or probably in 2025, the watch aptly named ‘Apple Watch X’ will celebrate the tenth generation of Apple Watch. The folks at German design agency Wordsmattr came up with a design concept showing the upcoming Apple Watch X paired with a design overhaul and a punch-hole camera.
Purported Apple Watch X Design Concept Revealed
According to Lukas Gehrer, designer at Wordsmattr, the design concept is based on news, patents, and rumors revolving around the next-gen Apple Watch. It took them three months to create a detailed concept that includes a punch-hole camera, a blood pressure sensor, and a titanium build akin to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Talking about the concept, the purported Apple Watch X (Roundup) looks similar to the Apple Watch Ultra but with a slightly thinner profile. It also has curved edges and is not as flat as the Watch Ultra which sets it apart. The titanium used on the concept is slightly darker as well so we could see a massive change in design once the watch launches this year or next year if at all true.
Moving on, you can see a punch-hole cut-out giving a peek into where the front camera might go. We have heard a lot about the future Apple Watch getting a front camera although it remains to be seen if the Apple Watch X becomes the first to pick it up or if it is reserved for something next year. The front camera can be used for selfies, and video calls, and beyond that should reduce phone usage for speedy calls.

Moving on, Apple is also looking into incorporating two major health features on Apple Watch X. The first is a hypertension sensor to measure your blood pressure. It may not have continuous blood pressure monitoring but rather alert you when it is too high so that you can take immediate assistance.
Another health feature is for those suffering from sleep apnea which alerts a person when their breathing stops and starts overnight in sleep. It remains to be seen if both of these features make it to Apple Watch X or not.

Lastly, the design is based on corroboration from the likes of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman details about a new magnetic band system. It will get rid of the existing band attachment systems (and so will not be compatible with current Apple Watch bands) and rather end up attaching magnetically. The move will free up more space on an already constricted device and help get a tad bit larger battery. After all, getting a higher battery life on Apple Watch has been a tempting feature that regular watch users have been wanting for years now.
