vivo has been developing its upcoming foldable device, intended to replace the vivo X Fold 3, for some time. Initial reports suggested that the vivo X Fold 4 would not debut until 2025; however, recent leaks indicate a possible launch in the third quarter of 2025. The vivo X Fold 3 was introduced in China in March 2024, but its successor may not be revealed until later in the year, if at all.

Although the launch of the vivo X Fold 4 remains unconfirmed and seems distant, that hasn’t deterred insiders from disclosing its key features. Previously, Digital Chat Station provided some specifications for the vivo X Fold 4, and they have now released additional details.

vivo X Fold 4: Specs Surface Online

Reliable Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the vivo X Fold 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. He claimed the foldable would be sleek and ultra-light as well. To recall, vivo X Fold 3 was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and has a 4.65mm thickness when unfolded with a weight of 219g.

The upcoming foldable from Vivo is rumored to get a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor and pack a 6000mAh battery, claims the tipster. Other two lenses at the back are expected to be 50MP as well. The handset will support wireless charging and get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. vivo X Fold 4 will have an IPX8 rating for water resistance.

Vivo X Fold 3: Specs

To recapitulate, vivo X Fold 3 was IPX4 rated and packed a 5500mAh battery with 80W wired charging. It was priced at CNY 6999 (around Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB RAM+256GB storage configuration. The foldable was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and flaunted an 8.03-inch 2K AMOLED main display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen. It had a 50MP primary camera at the back and a 32MP selfie sensor at the front.

vivo X Fold 3 Pro was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and packed a 5700mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Pro model was priced at CNY 9999 (Rs. 1,16,000) for the 16GB RAM+512GB storage version. There is no news about the vivo X Fold 4 Pro as of now.
