Tom Holland Starts Filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Details Revealed

It’s been a long time since the MCU released a Spider-Man movie, but now it seems things are finally progressing as the next instalment in the franchise has started rolling with Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has recently begun filming, and Sony has given us a sneak peek in the form of Spider-Man’s suit in the first teaser for the movie. Apart from the new suit, release date, return of villains, cast, and more have also been confirmed.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Announcement

A 9-second teaser shared by MCU teases Spider-Man’s suit along with the background music of the film. The suit has thick lines and is not very shiny, resembling a lot like the one worn by Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. The movie is confirmed to release in theaters on 31st July, 2026.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Cast & Crew

Tom Holland and Zendaya will reprise their roles as Peter Parker and MJ, respectively. Other cast members are-

  • Jon Bernthal as Frank/ The Punisher

  • Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan

The plot is kept under wraps as of now, but rumors from insiders claim that the movie might adopt a darker tone than previous films. The movie features Holland’s Peter Parker post-high school and living anonymously, a first in the MCU arc.
