On FCC’s database, the device appeared with the ID “AK8YY2984.” Further, there’s an infographic depicting the removable headphone cup. According to TheWalkmanblog, the device’s short-term confidentiality (STC) ends on July 22, 2025. Since the last iteration of Sony’s flagship headphones came out around 13 weeks before the STC ended, we can expect the Sony WH-1000XM6 to debut in late April or early May.

The upcoming headset should support Bluetooth v5.3, which isn’t the latest version but should be able to provide a stable connection. It could also support fast USB-C charging, feature 30mm drivers, and come in three colors: Black, Blue, and Silver.

Sony WH-1000XM6 Price (Expected)

Regarding price, the Sony WH-1000XM6 could cost more than the WH-1000XM5 (Rs. 34,990). We would wait to see the pricing before recommending the upcoming headphones to anyone, as more often than not, the previous generation of headphones gets a hefty discount, making it the more value-for-money product for end consumers.
