Ajay Devgn starrer family comedy ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ will finally hit the cinema screens tomorrow, after weeks of controversies and delays. Sequel to the 2012 rib-tickling comedy, this one sees Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Jassi. At first, the release date was announced to be 25th July, immediately after Maddock announced Param Sundari on this date. This led to the makers receiving criticism for trying to play unfairly. The producers then had to delay the movie by a week, pushing the release date to 1st August, all thanks to the Saiyaara wave that came out of syllabus.
Now, finally, when the movie is about to release in cinemas tomorrow, its OTT platform has been locked even before it hits the silver screens. Read on to know more.

Son of Sardaar 2: Plot
The movie continues the story of Jassi, who returns to his roots and faces new challenges, this time in Scotland. The sequel is expected to be a mix of action, comedy, and romance, with a strong dose of humor and punchlines.
“Years have passed since the events of the first movie, and Jassi has begun a new life. He travels to Scotland, not to fight, but to reunite with his estranged wife, following the resolution of a bitter family quarrel and his enduring house detention in Punjab. But Jassi’s plans go awry as he becomes mired in a hostage crisis, a feud between local mafia families, and the most utterly wild Sardaar wedding one could imagine.”
Son of Sardaar 2: Screen Count Challenge
Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara is posing problems for Son of Sardaar 2 even after 2 weeks. The Ajay Devgn-starrer is struggling to get screens all over India, all thanks to Saiyaara fever, which isn’t showing any signs of abating anytime soon. A report by Pinkvilla states, “Saiyaara is running strong at the BO, and exhibitors are not willing to let go of the romantic saga in the third week too. Mahavatar Narsimha is also beginning to gain momentum, and with audience demand, there is a spike in showcasing for the film.” PVR Inox is demanding 60% of the shows, while exhibitors are not allocating more than 35%. Some have agreed on two shows per day, which has angered PVR Inox, and they are aggressively trying to get more screens.
Meanwhile, Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Dhadak 2 is peacefully releasing on 1000 screens on the first day as Dharma Productions has decided to let their content do the talking.
