Samsung India has launched two new soundbars: the convertible HW-QS700F and the flagship HW-Q990F. The lineup offers features like AI Sound Optimization, Dynamic Bass Control, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and an integrated Gyro Sensor. The range starts from Rs. 35,990 for the convertible model, going up to Rs. 92,990 for the flagship model.

AI Sound Optimization

Both the HW-QS700F and HW-Q990F models support the following features.

  • AI Sound Optimization: Using machine learning, the soundbars detect the type of content being played and tune the audio (in real-time) for the best output.
  • Both soundbars come with a compact wireless subwoofer that produces powerful bass despite maintaining a compact form factor.
  • Another common feature across both soundbars is Q-Symphony, which helps connect with Samsung TVs seamlessly, along with Wireless Dolby Atmos, which produces 3D audio without the hassle of arranging (and hiding) cables all over the place.
  • Connectivity features on the soundbar include SmartThings, Alexa, Google Assistant, Chromecast, AirPlay, and Roon Ready.

Samsung Q-Series HW-QS700F Key Features

The more affordable Q-Series HW-QS700F soundbar produces 345W via a 3.1.2 channel output (including three front, one compact subwoofer, and two up-firing channels). However, the main highlight of the product is the integrated gyro, which lets the soundbar detect whether it is mounted on the wall or kept on a table, and generate sound accordingly.

The Samsung Q-Series HW-QS700F is available via the company’s official website at Rs. 35,990. Interested buyers can also avail of a 5% instant discount using HDFC Bank or SBI Bank’s credit card (on EMI transactions), up to Rs. 3,000.

When compared to the convertible model, the flagship soundbar offers an advanced surround sound setup, delivering a theater-like experience that covers the entire room.

  • Active Voice Amplifier Pro: This particular feature helps the speakers enhance dialogue clarity, addressing the problem that often exists in soundbars.
  • Dynamic Bass Control: The feature lets the soundbars produce deeper, more refined low-end frequencies without distortion.

While the HW-QS700F features HDMI eARC for 4K video pass up to 60Hz, the HW-Q990F supports HDMI eARC via HDMI 2.1, which unlocks 4K video pass up to 120Hz.
