Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, iQOO 9, Vivo V23, and more phones launching in the first week of 2022

We have just stepped into 2022 and some of the leading tech giants are all set to launch new smartphones in the first week of 2022 itself. These smartphones can be placed in different categories and have one or the other unique spec to offer. Like for example, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will be India’s first to come with 120W fast charging whereas Realme GT 2 Pro will be the most premium offering by Realme to date. [हिंदी में पढ़ें]

Let us have a look at the smartphones that will be launching in the first week of 2022 (in chronological order)-

1. Realme GT 2 Pro

Launching on January 4th, 2022, Realme GT 2 Pro is the upcoming flagship device by Realme. It is expected to be launched alongside the vanilla variant of the Realme GT 2. Realme has already announced the innovations it is bringing to Realme GT 2 Pro. Innovations include a 150-degree-ultrawide angle lens, Fish Eye Mode, and OIS in the photography department.

 Design innovations include Realme GT 2 Pro sporting a Master Paper Tech Master Design made from recyclable materials. It will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to be priced at Rs. 60,740 in India. 2. Realme GT 2

As the name suggests, it is the vanilla variant of Realme GT 2 Pro and will launch alongside it on January 4th. It will be a slightly affordable smartphone as compared to GT 2 Pro and is said to sport slightly different specs.

Realme GT 2 is said to feature a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It will have up to 12GB RAM and up to 156GB internal storage capacity. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box and pack a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

In the camera department, Realme GT 2 will reportedly have a triple rear camera setup consisting of 50MP+8MP+2MP lenses and a 16MP lens for selfies and video calls. The dimensions of the device are 162.9×75.8×8.6mm and it will weigh 198.9 grams. Connectivity features will include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

3. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G

Samsung’s S21 FE edition is expected to launch during CES 2022 which kicks off on January 4th. The smartphone is quite anticipated as its launch has faced several delays ever since it was confirmed that Samsung will launch Fan Edition for the S21 series. The smartphone is said to be powered by 2 chipsets- Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 depending upon the region.

4. iQOO 9 Series

iQOO 9 Series is launching on January 5th for the China market, It will have a regular as well as a pro variant, both of which are confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The memory configuration will include 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The Pro model will feature a 2k AMOLED display and a micro-gimbal PTZ camera with a 4700mAh battery. 5. Vivo V23 Pro

Launching on January 5th, Vivo V23 Pro will be a part of the Vivo V23 Series which will also have a regular Vivo V23 variant. Vivo V23 Pro will include a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP super macro camera with LED flash. It is said to sport a 6.65-inch FHD+ 3D curved 90Hz AMOLED display and be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.

6. Vivo V23

Vivo V23

Vivo V23 will launch on January 5th alongside the Pro variant and will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone will have a 6.44-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED panel. It will have a triple camera setup (64MP+8MP+2MP) and pack a 4300mAh battery under the hood supported by 44W fast charging. It will run Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 custom skin out of the box. More details are awaited.

7. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge

It is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and will launch in India on 6th January. The handset will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that is expandable. One of the highlights is the smartphone supporting 120W fast charging for its 4500mAh battery. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and JBL speakers too.

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge

The display will be a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a punch-hole cutout. The triple rear camera setup on the back will include a 108MP lens along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Connectivity options will include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi. Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

The price for the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is expected to begin at around Rs. 22,000 and go up to 28,000 for the highest model. The smartphone is expected to arrive in 2 colors- Stealth Black and Camo Green.
