TL; DR
- OPPO has begun teasing the Find X9, highlighting key features and bezels slimmer than the 1.25 mm on the Find X8 series.
- OPPO executive Zhou Yibao has confirmed the Find X9 will launch in October 2025 in China.
- A render of the Find X9 shared by DCS (now deleted) has been confirmed to be fake by OPPO executive Zhou Yibao.
OPPO is ramping up hype for its next flagship, the OPPO Find X9, and teasers have already begun in China. OPPO Executive Zhou Yibao says the phone will feature bezels even slimmer than the already impressive 1.25 mm on the Find X8s, making it the narrowest four-sided symmetrical display smartphone yet. The screen is expected to be a 6.59-inch flat OLED LTPO panel with 2K resolution.

Inside, the Find X9 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, confirmed via Geekbench listings. It will run Android 16 with ColorOS 16, boosted by OPPO’s upgraded Tidal Engine for smoother optimization. Other confirmed specs include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and advanced eye-protection tech built into the display.
Given how much Zhou is emphasizing it, the battery life could be a game-changer. Rumors suggest a near 7,000 mAh cell with fast wired charging, touted by Zhou as “the longest battery life” in its class. On the imaging front, it will feature the “most powerful imaging system” with Hasselblad partnership.

As per leaks, the OPPO Find X9 will feature a 50 MP main camera with 1/1.4-inch sensor size, a 50 MP ultra-wide with 1/2.76-inch sensor size, and a 50 MP 3X telephoto with a new sensor and possibly even a larger aperture. This will make it the most powerful standard flagship in terms of camera hardware.
Zhou’s Weibo post also mentions “richest magnetic solution system,” which could point to two possibilities, either OPPO plans to expand accessory support through the existing case magnet, or the Find X9 itself may integrate magnets inside the body. It will also feature fast wireless charging and IP66 + IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance.
OPPO Find X9 Leaked Design is Not Real

Leaker Digital Chat Station had also shared renders (now deleted) said to be close to the final design. However, Zhou Yibao recently clarified on Weibo that viral images circulating online do not represent the real Find X9. Despite this, he confirmed several key upgrades.
The Find X9 series will feature a new titanium color, a more premium cold carving process for refined design, and an upgraded texture for better grip. Even with the large “glacier battery,” Zhou emphasized that the series will remain light and thin, with the lens bulge kept under control.

He also confirmed that the entire lineup will adopt a straight flat screen with ultra-narrow physical bezels on all four sides. The Pro model will be even slimmer than the standard version, giving the series one of the most symmetrical and premium front designs in the flagship space. In his words, the Find X9 brings:
- A big upgrade in color
- A big upgrade in appearance
- A big upgrade in texture
- A big upgrade in feel
- A big upgrade in narrow sides
OPPO Find X9 Launch Confirmed for October

The October launch window has now been directly confirmed. When asked on Weibo whether the Find X9 would release this month or if buyers should opt for the Find X8s instead, OPPO executive Zhou Yibao replied with a clear “October.”
The Best Standard Flagship?
The OPPO Find X9 could easily be the best standard flagship on the market. It packs a top-tier display, a strong camera setup, a massive battery with fast charging, multiple IP ratings, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, ultra-slim bezels, and the smooth ColorOS 16 software. With all of this combined, it really has the potential to stand out as the best standard flagship out there.
The launch in China has already been confirmed for October, while in India we can expect it to arrive in November. I’m really excited for this one. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below; and tell me what you think about the design too.
