Oppo India has launched another mid-range smartphone: the Oppo A3 Pro. With its drop-resistance and military standard certifications, the phone should appeal to those prone to dropping their smartphone and looking for a more durable model. Some key highlights of the smartphone include an IP54 rating, a Dimensity chipset, a 5,100 mAh battery, and an Ultra Volume Mode for the loudspeaker at the bottom. Oppo A3 Pro Design And Durability
While the smartphone’s design resembles contemporary models (with a punch-hole display on the front and a rectangular camera module on the rear), Oppo is positioning it as one of the more durable models in the segment. For instance, the handset features damage-proof all-round body armor with a new reinforced internal structure, including a Biometric Sponge for shock absorption.
Further, the company has used drop-resistant materials like double-tempered glass for the screen cover. The smartphone comes with an SGS Drop-Resistance Certification (Standard) and SGS Military Standard Certification. Instead of bundling a regular case in the box, the company seems to have put in a rugged case, which is a nice touch. Last but not least, users can use the phone with wet hands thanks to the Splash Touch feature.
The smartphone maintains a sleek profile, measuring only 7.68mm in thickness. Further, it only weighs 186 grams and is available in two colors: Moonlight Purple and Starry Black.

Oppo A3 Pro Specifications And Features
Per the official press release, the Oppo A3 Pro ships with a 6.7-inch screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. While users can adjust the brightness up to 850 nits manually, the phone achieves the peak brightness number under direct sunlight. Apart from the smooth refresh rate, the screen also supports a 180Hz touch response rate.
Under the hood, the Oppo A3 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (6nm) SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Users also get virtual RAM expansion, wherein they can extend the phone’s RAM to a total of 16GB. Interestingly, the company claims the phone should offer at least four years of smooth everyday use.
The company has equipped this model with some AI-based features, such as AI LinkBoost, which ensures seamless connections “when watching online videos even in areas with weak signals or busy networks.” Then there’s the AI Eraser tool that helps identify and remove unwanted people or objects from pictures (and fill in the gaps with contextually appropriate content).

Regarding optics, the A3 Pro comes with a 50MP AI Dual Camera, wherein the primary sensor carries the said resolution. However, the release doesn’t mention anything about the secondary sensor on the back. Nonetheless, users get an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Some camera-related features include a Portrait Mode, AI Portrait Retouching, and Dual-View Video mode.
Powering the smartphone is a 5,100 mAh battery that supports 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge (or simply fast wired charging). Further, the handset comes equipped with Smart Charging that adapts to users’ charging habits to preserve the battery’s health. The big claim, however, is that the battery will maintain over 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.

The Oppo A3 Pro is available at Rs. 17,999 for the 128GB variant and Rs. 19,999 for the 256GB variant across all the leading online stores in the country, including Amazon, Flipkart, Oppo Store, and other mainline retail outlets.
