OnePlus Nord CE 5 Release Date

OnePlus has already confirmed the release date for the Nord CE 5. The handset will debut alongside the Nord 5 on July 8, 2025. The phone will be available for purchase starting July 12 on the e-commerce platform Amazon.

OnePlus Nord CE 5 Specifications (Confirmed)

OnePlus Nord CE 5

Less than a week before the phone’s launch, OnePlus has confirmed the presence of MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex SoC, which could be a tweaked version of the regular DImensity 8350 SoC that features a 3.35 GHz Cortex-A715 prime core.

While the regular version scores around 1.35 million points on AnTuTu 10, OnePlus is touting a 1.47 million point score on the synthetic benchmark, indicating that the Apex version could pack in more processing and graphical power. Further, the Nord CE 5 will debut with LPDDR5X RAM.

Harnessing the chipset’s power, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 will also allow buyers to play BGMI and COD in 120 fps.

OnePlus Nord CE 5

OnePlus has also confirmed a 50MP Sony LYT-600 (1/1.95-inch, OIS) primary sensor (borrowed from the Nord CE 4) that supports recording 4K60 videos. However, the company has equipped the phone with features like RAW HDR and Real Tone technology for exceptional clarity and vibrant colors in pictures.

Under the hood, the handset will feature a massive 7,100 mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging (from 1-100% in 59 minutes). For reference, the Nord CE 4 features a 5,500 mAh battery, which provides decent battery life.

Hence, we expect the Nord CE 5 to last even longer between charges. Additional battery-related features include a charging management solution that maintains optimal battery health and bypasses charging to let the phone run directly on the power drawn through the charger (without relying on the battery).

OnePlus Nord CE 5 Price (Expected)

Given that OnePlus is equipping the Nord CE 5 with a capable chipset and a massive battery, I suspect there is a price hike in store for buyers. While the Nord CE 4 is available around Rs. 18,000, the Nord CE 5 could cost around Rs. 20,000 or more for the baseline variant.
