Official: realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro Set for October Debut in China

realme has confirmed that the GT 8 series, including the realme GT 8 Pro, will launch in October in China. The company shared the news via its official Weibo account, positioning these devices as part of its next-generation flagship lineup. This follows the GT 7 Pro from earlier this year.

The October launch also aligns with a busy month in the Android flagship space. vivo has confirmed the X300 series for October 13, and OPPO will debut the Find X9 series on October 16. MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 has already been announced, and Qualcomm is expected to reveal the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 soon.

Pre-Orders for realme GT 8 Series 

Pre-orders for the GT 8 Pro are already open on realme’s Chinese website and selected e-commerce platforms. Early buyers receive benefits such as extended warranties and the chance to win a free GT 8 Pro unit.

Leaks and early rumors suggest the GT 8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch flat display with minimal bezels. The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP periscope zoom lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The device may pack an 7,500 to 8,000 mAh battery and 100W charging. While the chipset hasn’t been confirmed officially, it is likely to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Following its debut in China, the GT 8 Pro is expected to launch in other key markets, including India, likely between October and November. Pricing details are yet to be confirmed, but we are expecting it to remain under ₹60,000 in India.
