Nothing Phone (3) Design

The Phone (3) looks nothing like the previous Nothing handsets. While the handset still features a see-through back panel, it bids farewell to the iconic Glyph Interface in favor of a monochrome Glyph Matrix, a circular LED display (with 489 LEDs) situated at the top right corner of the rear panel.

The Glyph Matrix serves the same purpose of informing the users about incoming call IDs and app-specific alerts as the Glyph Interface, but it also enables unique experiences like Glyph Toys, allowing users to capture perfect selfies, play spin the bottle or Rock Paper Scissors, view time, use the matric LED display as a battery indicaator, so on and so forth.

Other Glyph Matrix features include camera countdown, Glyph Torch, and volume indicator. In addition to this, there is a dedicated Glyph Button that lets you interact with the LED display. Users can tap to cycle through the tools and widgets and hold to play with Glyph Toys.

The Phone (3) also features an Essential Key, a button on the right frame that lets users access Essential Space. Pressing the key once captures the screen, a long press records a voice note, while double-pressing instantly opens the Essential Space. There’s a new feature called Flip to Record as well.

While the phone features a punch-hole screen at the front protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i, it features Gorilla Glass Victus at the back. Regarding water resistance, the phone features an IP68 rating.
