TL; DR

  • Circle to Search has been rolled out for the Nothing Phone (2), (2a), and (2a) Plus.
  • Make sure to restart your Nothing Phone (2), (2a), or (2a) Plus to get this feature.
  • The feature is not yet available for the CMF Phone 1 or the Nothing Phone 1.

Good news for Nothing Phone (2), (2a), and (2a) Plus users—the latest update now brings support for Circle to Search. These are the first Nothing devices to get the Circle to Search feature. Previously, the feature was exclusive to flagship models from other brands, but that’s no longer the case.

What is Circle to Search?

For the uninitiated, Circle to Search allows users to search from their screen by circling any content to search, translate, or identify a song. If you’re using 3-button navigation, long-press the Home button to activate it. For gesture navigation, long-press the navigation bar (make sure it’s not hidden).
