At its launch event in London, Nothing unveiled not only the Phone (3) but also its first-ever over-ear headphones: Headphone (1). About four years ago, the Car Pei-led brand began its journey in the consumer technology market by releasing the Nothing Ear (1), a value-for-money pair of TWS earbuds with features like ANC and the classic Nothing aesthetic.

The Headphone (1) are built using the same design language, which is why there are no other over-ear headphones that look or closely resemble them in the market.

Nothing Headphone (1) Price & Availability

The Headphone (1) will be available in black and white colorways for Rs. 21,999 in India. On the day of launch, i.e., July 15, 2025, buyers can get the device for Rs. 19,999.

It will be available via Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, Vijay Sales, Croma, and other leading retail stores in the country.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: the Headphone (1)’s design. Throughout the headphones’ body, you’ll find transparent elements infused with aluminum (which forms the rectangle-shaped earcup). It also features telescopic arms for smooth adjustment around the head.

On the inside, the Headphone (1) features earcups that utilize PU memory foam (oil-resistant) to conform naturally to the listener’s head shape. The materials reduce ear pressure and provide a secure, comfortable seal for all-day wear, suitable for a wide range of head shapes.

The Headphone (1) features 40mm dynamic drivers that claim to deliver a rich, natural sound signature with deep bass, detailed mids, and crisp treble across all listening modes. Speaking of listening modes, the device offers active noise cancellation and a dedicated transparency mode that allows environmental noises to pass through.

With built-in head tracking, the Headphone (1) is capable of delivering a 360-degree soundstage that adapts to the user’s movements. The device also supports Spatial Audio. It also includes support for Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, USB-C lossless playback, and the option to use with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, the device offers exceptional wireless or wired connectivity.

Additionally, it features a precision damping system and high-linearity suspension that minimize distortion, even at high volume levels. With dual-feedforward/feedback microphones, the Headpone (1)’s noise cancellation levels can adapt to the user’s environment in real-time. For voice calls, the device features a four-microphone electronic noise cancellation system.

Regarding battery life, the Headphone (1) claim to provide up to 35 hours of listening time between charges. They also support fast charging, wherein a five-minute charge can provide up to 2.4 hours of playback (with ANC). For connectivity, the device relies on Bluetooth v5.3 (dual-device connection) and also supports Fast Pair.

For controlling media playback, the Headphone (1) features a customizable button. While a single press activates Channel Hop, a quick-switch feature that cycles between recent audio apps and favorite functions, the button can also be customized to trigger voice commands, launch News Reporter, or open Essential Space. The Nothing X app also features an eight-band equalizer, allowing users to customize their audio output according to their preferences.
