The Motorola Edge 50 series has been generating quite a buzz in the smartphone market this year, and the newly launched Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is no exception. Motorola has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. It brings all the goodies that you would expect from a flagship smartphone. Let’s discuss the specifications and the price of the phone.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Specifications
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra boasts a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Class Victus. The phone has an aluminium frame and a wooden or silicone polymer (vegan leather) back.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is a middle ground between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 in terms of CPU and GPU performance. This is paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

As for the optics, you get a 50 MP primary 1/1.3” lens with OIS, a 64 MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP 122° FOV ultra-wide lens on the rear. On the front, you’ll find a 50 MP f/1.9 lens with AF. All lenses can shoot in 4K30 or 4K60.
The phone has a stereo speaker setup, IP68 water and dust protection, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and support for a wide number of 5G bands. The phone also has a high-speed USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port that can also act as a DisplayPort 1.4.
As for the battery, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra might initially disappoint with its seemingly small 4500 mAh capacity. However, the 125W wired charging support quickly balances it out, ensuring rapid recharges. The cherry on top? It also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging for added convenience.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Pricing and Availability
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be available in three colorways—Peach Fuzz, Nordic Wood, and Forest Gray. The Nordic Wood version is made of real wood, while the other variants use silicone polymer.
The first sale for the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be on June 24th at 12 noon via Flipkart. It is available in only one variant—12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage for INR 54,999. For a limited time, Motorola is also offering an instant discount of INR 5,000 on transactions using an ICICI bank credit card.

The phone should compete with the Xiaomi 14 CIVI, the upcoming Realme GT 6 and the HONOR 200 Pro. It remains to be seen how the latter two devices will fare against the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra.
