MG Windsor Pro: Exterior And Interior

The MG Windsor Pro looks similar to the models already on the market, except for a few changes. For one, the EV is now available in Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver colors.

While the front fascia (with horizontal LED light strip, illuminated MG logo, and LED headlights) and the side profile (with blacked-out A and B pillars, body-colored ORVMs, and flush-type door handles) remain similar to the existing variants, the only visible addition are the new 18-inch alloy wheels we’ve seen on the MG Hector.

The rear bumper is a similar story (with a connected LED tailight and the vehicle’s name), except for a new ADAS badge, which indicates that the car features Advanced Driver Assistance System features.

On the inside, the MG Windsor Pro features lighter, beige-themed leatherette seats, supposedly to provide an airy feel to the cabin. However, the lighter shade might show signs of usage (the dark brown marks of dirt accumulation) sooner than the darker shade.

Everything else, from the 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen to the instrument cluster, the dual-spoke steering wheel, and the 135-degree recline for the rear seats, remains the same as the regular Windsor. While the Essence variant already had ventilated front seats, the Essence Pro now gets a powered tailgate.

MG Windsor Pro: Powertrain Details

The MG Windsor Pro retains the single-motor setup from the existing version, which produces a peak power of 136 PS and a peak torque of 200 Nm.

However, the EV’s main highlight remains its larger battery pack. Compared to the 38 kWh battery pack on the regular version, the MG Windsor Pro houses a 52.9 kWh battery pack, which increases the claimed range of the vehicle to 449 kilometers. However, the real-world range should be around 380-400 kilometers on average.

MG Windsor Pro: Safety Features

In addition to all the standard safety features, the Pro variant gets Level 2 ADAS, which includes features like Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning, along with three levels of audio, visual, and haptic warnings. The Pro variant also gets vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) functionality.
