Maruti Suzuki Baleno And Ertiga Get This Crucial Safety Update

Six Airbags As Standard Is A Welcome Addition

Given the rising awareness about safety-related features, including both active and passive measures, Maruti Suzuki has made six airbags standard across both the Balena and the Ertiga models.  

Earlier, only the top variants of the Balena came with six airbags (including the Alpha and the Zeta model). On the other hand, the Ertiga offered four airbags on the top models.

Automaker Revises The Price Of Baleno And Ertiga

With the addition of six airbags as standard, Maruti Suzuki has also hiked the prices of the Baleno and the Ertiga. While prices for the former have gone up by 0.5%, those for the latter will surge by up to 1.4% (on the ex-showroom rate).

The Balena and Ertiga are not the only Maruti Suzuki vehicles to have received six airbags as standard across all variants. Earlier this year, the automaker also added six airbags to its budget offerings, like the Alto, WagonR, and Celerio.

Maruti Suzuki Plans To Add Six Airbags To All Its Passenger Vehicles

By the end of this year, the crucial safety addition should also be available in cars like the Ignis, Fronx, and XL6.
