TL; DR
  • LG has unveiled the Essential Series in India, developed after engaging with over 1,200 families to meet real household needs.
  • The lineup includes a double-door refrigerator, top-load washing machine, room air conditioner, and convertible oven, all built for durability, efficiency, and Indian conditions.
  • The series rolls out in November 2025, starting at around ₹18,000, though exact prices per product are yet to be confirmed.

LG has launched the “Essential Series,” a new range of home appliances designed specifically for Indian homes. Developed after studying over 1,200 families, this marks LG’s first major consumer-focused move since its public listing, with a goal, and that is making innovation affordable and relevant under the slogan “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness.”

The lineup includes four products designed to fit Indian living conditions. The Double Door Refrigerator uses frost-free cooling, Smart Mode that adapts to seasons, and offers a 20% larger vegetable box ideal for vegetarian households.

The Fully Automatic Top Load Washing Machine uses Low Pressure Fill technology to clean effectively even with weak water pressure. It also includes a ProShield Motor with a BMC cover to protect against insects and moisture, and an IPX4-certified control panel.

Finally, the Convertible Oven. It’s perhaps the most interesting of all the Essential Series products announced today. It supports local cooking with Auto Cook menus for ghee, paneer, and dal, and can also cook 28 different Indian-style breads. And the best part? It can be converted to an air fryer whenever you need.
