Indian smartphone maker Lava has been aggressively expanding its lineup over the past couple of months, and its latest device takes the company in a new direction. Meet the Lava Play Ultra, the brand’s first smartphone designed with mobile gamers in mind.

While it’s packed with gaming-centric features, the Play Ultra is positioned as an all-rounder for new smartphone owners and, specifically, gamers on a tight budget. In typical Lava fashion, it aims to deliver a compelling package with a price tag that stays under the ₹15,000 mark, including launch offers.
Lava Play Ultra Specifications
The phone has a 6.67″ FHD+ flat AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it gets powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC with up to 8GB of with up to 8GB virtual RAM along with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, which is expandable up to 1TB.
On the optics side, the Lava Play Ultra features a 64MP rear camera with Sony IMX682 sensor with OIS, and a 5MP macro lens. On the front, it gets a 13MP selfie camera. Other specs and features on the phone include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust & water resistant rating, Stereo speakers, Android 15 stock build, and 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Lava Play Ultra Price
The Lava Play Ultra comes in Arctic Frost and Arctic Slate colours and is priced at ₹14,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model while the 8GB/128GB model is priced at ₹16,499. Both models will be available from Amazon.in starting August 25th. As part of launch offers, Lava is also giving an additional ₹1,000 discount with ICICI, SBI, HDFC cards.
