The iQOO Neo9 Pro was released earlier this year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It brought great value for money and is still a great value phone for its price. Now, rumors suggest that iQOO is gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version of the same phone that will deliver even more performance for more demanding tasks.
A post from Smart Pikachu on Weibo (Chinese microblogging platform) says that iQOO is planning to launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version of the smartphone next month, i.e., July 2024. Notably, the leaker is most likely talking about the Chinese market and not the Indian or global market.

We’ve seen multiple versions of the iQOO Neo9 series in China, including the iQOO Neo9 (Neo9 Pro in India), iQOO Neo9 Pro, and iQOO Neo9S Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version of the series could be called the iQOO Neo9 Pro+ since it would be the most powerful chipset in the series, yet.
Unfortunately, we are not sure whether the device would make its way to India or not. If it does, these would be the specifications of the iQOO Neo9 Pro+.

I think it would be a great move for iQOO to launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version of the iQOO Neo9 Pro. With the number of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 phones flooding the Indian market, it would be nice to see a phone with a more powerful chipset compete in the same price range.
The iQOO Neo9 Pro already stands strong against the competition in the INR 35,000 segment, and we can only speculate about the improvements and added value the Neo9 Pro+ could bring.
The iQOO Neo9 Pro+, in India, would slot in between the iQOO Neo9 Pro and the iQOO 12. Users who wanted even more performance could go for the iQOO 12, but the price difference was too much to stretch to. The iQOO Neo9 Pro+ could bridge this gap, offering top-tier performance without breaking the bank.
