Say goodbye to eye strain and the creeping threat of nearsightedness. HONOR’s AI Defocus Eye Protection is designed to mimic defocused glasses, allowing users to maintain clear vision even when the screen is too close.
According to HONOR’s claims, the feature can reduce transient myopia by 13 degrees after just 20–25 minutes of reading. It’s a clever solution for a generation glued to their screens that will ensure longer, healthier screen time.
AI Defake Detection
In a world where deepfakes and digital scams are on the rise, HONOR’s AI Defake Detection could be a game-changer. This feature meticulously analyzes video calls, checking lighting, image clarity, frame rate, and patterns frame by frame to spot potential deepfakes.
If the AI flags anything suspicious, you will receive a pop-up alert with a “Chance” percentage. This tells how likely the other person is a deepfake. Currently, the feature seems to be limited to video calls only.

HONOR also provides a link to learn more about AI-swapping scam protection. It’s not foolproof, but it does significantly increase the fight against cyber crimes.
What’s unique about these features is that they run entirely on-device, meaning there’s no need for cloud services. This ensures user data remains private and secure. HONOR hasn’t revealed exactly when these AI features will hit their smartphones, but they’re clearly in the pipeline.
