DJI officially launched the Osmo Pocket 4 on April 16, 2026. For a professional-grade camera that you can tuck into your jeans pocket, it’s bringing quite a lot of impressive specs.
Building on the success of the Pocket 3, DJI has possibly upgraded nearly every specification without dramatically changing the compact form factor. It won’t surprise me if you see the camera in the hands of several creators in a month’s time.

What Has DJI Upgraded On The Pocket 4?
Practically everything. The 1-inch CMOS sensor is borrowed from the Pocket 3, but it now supports 4K recording at 240 fps, double the maximum frame rate of the predecessor. Further, it also supports 14 stops of dynamic range and a full 10-bit D-Log color profile, bringing it closer to professional video-making territory.
The f/2.0 aperture helps in pulling cleaner footage in low-light conditions (with less noise). The camera retains the 20mm equivalent lens, but still squeezes in an improved maximum frame rate. A dedicated zoom button lets you quickly switch between 1x and 2x without compromising video quality as much.

Why Should You Actually Buy The Osmo Pocket 4?
The built-in storage now stands at 107GB, with transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s, which is a substantial upgrade over the Pocket 3’s speed, which, if you recall, had no internal memory at all. Battery life with the Pocket 4 stretches to 240 minutes at 1080p/24 fps, so naturally, if you’re shooting at 4K, expect shorter recording times.
However, the handheld camera’s battery refills faster (up to 80% in 18 minutes). Among the intelligence content creation features on the device are ActiveTrack 7.0 (handles intelligence subject tracking up to 4x zoom), gesture controls (help starting video recording hands-free), and a three-microphone array supporting four-channel audio (when paired with DMI Mic transmitters).
For now, the Osmo Pocket 4 is available at £445/€499 for the Standard Combo, and £549/€619 for the Creator Combo. The Indian availability, however, hasn’t been confirmed yet. Historically, India has been in DJI’s global rollout lists. Given that the Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo currently costs around Rs. 62,000 in India, the Pocket 4 could either launch at a similar or a higher price.
