TL; DR
  • If you head to Apple’s website, you’ll see the new, dynamic September event logo at the top. Keep watching, and the logo keeps changing its colors in between shades of black, blue, and orange.
  • The light blue shade in the logo could be a hint at the iPhone 17 Air’s leaked light blue color. It could also be a reference to iOS 26, as it also uses blue as a predominant shade across the lock and home screens.

Yesterday, Apple sent out invites for the iPhone 17 “Awe-Dropping” launch event on September 9, 2025. Like other Apple events over the years, this one has a special mascot shared by the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, via his official X account.

Apple’s “Awe-Dropping” Event Logo Contains An Easter Egg

Now, those who’ve been following Apple events know that each mascot (a special version of the company’s logo) has a special meaning or hints related to what the company might unveil at the event. This year is no different, as the logo’s design and colors seem to be hiding several secrets.

What Do The Shades In The Apple Event Logo Signify?

If you head to Apple’s website, you’ll see the new, dynamic September event logo at the top. Keep watching, and the logo keeps changing its colors in between shades of black, blue, and orange, but when you move your cursor over it, the logo starts tracking your movement and highlights the area with a deep orange color (as if it is a heat map).

Enough on the easter egg; let’s move on to the hints that the logo contains.

  • First, the light blue shade in the logo could be a hint at the iPhone 17 Air’s leaked light blue color. It could also be a reference to iOS 26, as it also uses blue as a predominant shade across the lock and home screens.
  • Meanwhile, the deep orange color could be for the new orange colorway for the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
  • Upon closer examination, I also realized that the interactive visuals have a refractive quality to them, reminding me of how visual elements appear in iOS 26.
