Apple has been on a roll since September 2024. After launching the iPhone 16 Series, the tech giant rolled out the iPad Mini 7, iOS 18.2 Beta, and has now announced new Macs with M4 chipset. If this isn’t enough, the brand has been working on some new smart home devices that will arrive in 2025. One of these is a smart home display that will be the newest offering by Apple since Vision Pro in 2023. Reportedly, the Smart Home Display will work as a smart home device and will be held up by a circular base that will be similar to Apple’s iMac G4.

Apple Smart Home Display: Rumors

The tech giant is expected to pack the upcoming smart home display with a new Operating System. Gurman in his latest newsletter claims that this ‘smart home screen’ with a small display is being worked upon and it will be the size of two adjacent iPhone units. It will have a square shape and also have a circular base so that it can be positioned at any angle. The display is also tipped to feature speakers and might resemble Apple’s iMac G4 which came out in 2002. The speakers might be placed towards the bottom of the device which will allow it to function like a Home-Pod too.
Although Apple HomePod and Apple iPads are already on sale, this new Smart Home Display will combine the functionality of both devices and its screen will be able to control all smart home devices supporting apps like Notes and FaceTime. This means the screen will have a camera too.
