TL; DR
  • Apple is hosting a small, invite-only “special Apple Experience” event on March 4 in New York, London, and Shanghai.
  • While not a traditional livestreamed keynote, the event could introduce M5-powered MacBook Pro models, refreshed iPads, and possibly the iPhone 17e.
  • However, Apple may also simply showcase upcoming products to select media rather than announce entirely new hardware.

Apple has invited media members to attend a “special Apple Experience” in three cities across the globe: New York (for the United States media hub), London (for the European press market), and Shanghai (for the Chinese market). The event will take place on March 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM ET or 7:30 PM IST.

A Global Invite-Only Apple Event

“Please join us in person for a special Apple Experience in New York,” the official invitation reads. What’s interesting is that the event’s date aligns with what Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter.

Unlike regular full-fledged Apple events that are streamed live, the special “experience” might be available to a smaller, selective audience at first, with press releases and coverage to follow soon after.

For context, Apple has occasionally hosted smaller in-person briefings for select media following major announcements, allowing journalists to test devices under embargo before broader availability.

As seen on the invitation, the company is using a three-color 3D Apple logo, which doesn’t reveal much, and the company hasn’t shared any caption or tagline for the event, leaving us with few clues. The three colors in the logo, light green, blue, and yellow, are also the rumored colors for the low-cost MacBook model.

But even so, we have a good idea about the Apple products in the pipeline, some of which could actually debut at the March 4 event.

M5 MacBook Pro Rumors Grow

For instance, the company could unveil a slew of new MacBook models at the event. First, it could unveil the M5 MacBook Pro models powered by the M5 Pro and the M5 Max chipsets. In addition, we could also see the first entry-level or affordable laptop with a sub-13-inch display and vibrant colors.

Other devices that might be revealed during the “special Apple experience” could include the new iPhone 17e (though it’s rumored to launch sooner), the new iPad Air with the M4 chip, and a new baseline iPad with a more recent chip that supports Apple Intelligence.

Because Apple hasn’t labeled this as a keynote event, there’s also a chance the company may simply showcase already-announced products in new markets rather than debut entirely new hardware.
