Apple Releases iOS 26.0.1 With A Handful Of Fixes For iPhone 17 Users

About two weeks after launching the iPhone 17 (review) with a stable version of iOS 26, Apple has now rolled out the first minor update for the operating system. With iOS 26.0.1, Apple has addressed a couple of issues, bugs, and glitches that users (including us) encountered in the initial release. On my iPhone 17, the update is 989.9 MB in size.

iOS 26.0.1: What’s Changed?

The latest stable version of iOS 26 brings along fixes for a handful of issues. For instance, the update fixes the WI-Fi and Bluetooth disconnection issue on the latest iPhone 17 models, the inability for a small number of iPhone 17 users to connect to cellular data, and the inclusion of unexpected artifacts in photos taken under certain lighting conditions.

Other issues covered as part of the iOS 26.0.1 update include those where app icons may appear blank after adding a custom tint and VoiceOver being disabled for some users. Fixes not mentioned in the release notes include one for the floating keyboard (which changed positions unexpectedly) and a vulnerability in the FrontParser component.

How To Install iOS 26.0.1?

On a supported iPhone, head to Settings > General > Software Update > Install Now. Users who have enabled Automatic Updates shouldn’t have to manually install the update.
