From the renders, it’s apparent that Samsung is not straying from its tried and tested foldable design. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature different dimensions from its predecessor. The unfolded phone will measure 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.3mm, while the folded dimensions will be 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.5mm.

Notably, the thickness of the phone when folded is only 13.4mm, which is slimmer than the previous Z Fold 4, which ranged from 14.2mm to 15.8mm due to the hinge gap and the angle of the screens when folded. It’s believed that the rumored “droplet” style hinge design is responsible for this reduction in thickness.

The rear camera module is another aspect that has undergone some changes. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a protruding camera island with triple cameras and an LED flash, which has been moved to the side from the bottom.

The phone’s displays remain the same, with a 6.2-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen, although the reduced dimensions suggest that the screen bezels may be slightly smaller.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications (Expected)

The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 is anticipated to showcase a 7.6-inch AMOLED display, surpassing its predecessor in brightness. In addition, the external panel of this smartphone will measure 6.2 inches and boasts a refresh rate of 120hz. To power the device, it is speculated that it will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy, and is likely to be available with several LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM options.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a triple rear camera setup with a possible upgrade in camera sensors. The primary camera can capture 8K video at 30fps.

Out of the box, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to come with One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13, while ensuring protection with IPX8 water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Samsung fans and tech enthusiasts can expect to receive more updates about the release and specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the coming days. With the hype surrounding this device, it’s sure to be a game-changer in the smartphone market. Stay tuned for more information.
