Exciting launches are underway at Nothing, the innovative tech startup, as reports suggest that a new smartphone is in the works. Earlier speculated to be the Nothing Phone 3, the upcoming device is now believed to be a part of Nothing’s sub-brand CMF, with its actual name yet to be confirmed.

The buzz around this new device stems from the discovery of a model number A015, which deviates from Nothing’s previous naming patterns for smartphones (Phone 1–A063, Phone 2–A065). A BIS certification reveals that the model number actually belongs to CMF By Nothing and not the Nothing brand itself.

This suggests that the A015 model could be a standalone product under the CMF brand, marking Nothing’s entry into the entry-level smartphone market.

While specific details about the A015 model’s specifications are still under wraps, it clearly indicates that the startup wants to diversify its portfolio and capture as many users as possible.

For the uninitiated, CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing that offers affordable products such as the CMF Buds, CMF Neckband, CMF GAN charger, and CMF Watch Pro.

If we are allowed to speculate, the upcoming CMF smartphone could be priced lower than the Nothing Phone 2a. The Nothing Phone 2a currently sits in the INR 25,000 range in the market; so expect the CMF Phone to be priced somewhere under INR 20,000 or below.

As we eagerly await further details and official confirmation from Nothing, the prospect of a new CMF smartphone entering the market is sure to pique the interest of tech enthusiasts and consumers alike. We expect Nothing to launch this device alongside the Nothing Phone (3) in July 2024. Meanwhile, you can stay tuned for exciting news like this.
